Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) recently launched MTCtv+, a premium on-demand music, lifestyle, sports, fashion, education and entertainment streaming content platform.
It said this new streaming service will provide customers with the latest in sports, entertainment and news at affordable and flexible pricing options.
On Thursday MTC Chief Human Capital and Corporate Affairs Officer, Tim Ekandjo told Nampa that the service is integrated into the existing Content SDP and that customers will be able to subscribe for daily or monthly access. It will also provide premium live and on-demand content, as well as event streaming.
“As we drive an inclusive Namibian digital economy and foster innovation and digitalisation, MTCtv+ will also provide opportunities for local and regional artists and content creators to use the platform to access digital natives by streaming their content directly to our customers,” he said.
Clients, according to Ekandjo, have three pricing options; daily, monthly subscriptions, and premium access. Customers will be able to access the entire content library on MTCtv+ via daily and monthly subscriptions, excluding premium, live and premium on-demand content, and will need to subscribe to begin using MTCtv+ and unsubscribe if they wish to opt-out.
“Premium live and premium on-demand offer exclusive content that can be purchased on an as-needed basis. Customers can simply purchase access to a specific streaming event with this option, which does not require a subscription. The premium options also expand the opportunities for artists and entertainers to host live events on MTCtv+,” Ekandjo said.
Customers can simply log in to the official website to get access on their device browser to subscribe, create a profile, and begin streaming. Customers who successfully subscribe will receive an email and an SMS with instructions on how to create their profile.
