The suspect in the double murder at Farm Josephine in the Khomas Region’s Dordabis district allegedly shot and killed himself on Wednesday morning in the Oshana Region.
According to Namibian Police Force spokesperson, Kauna Shikwambi, police officers visited the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Michael Martin, on Wednesday morning at Oshikweyo village at Eheke in the Oshana Region, where he allegedly turned a gun on himself, dying instantly.
“Martin shot himself in clear view of the police and some family members. The stolen vehicle was found a few metres away from his residence. The firearm used is amongst the stolen items from the farm,” Shikwambi said.
This comes after the suspect was allegedly involved in the murder of 22-year-old Visser Bock and 30-year-old Albertus Bock, whose bodies police discovered on Tuesday on Farm Josephine with gunshot wounds on their heads.
It is alleged the farm owner reportedly had one of their Toyota Land Cruisers as well as two firearms stolen.
Police investigations in the matter continue.
