In today’s business environment where volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity are prevalent, it is becoming increasingly important for organisations to focus on an aligned and integrated approach to constructing employee experiences and developing robust strategies to lead change.
“Change approaches that are agile, adjustable, continuously adapting and encourages learning are essential for success and longevity,” Deloitte Namibia partner Ramsay Mc Donald said at the launch of the 2018 Deloitte Best Company Survey in Windhoek.
Deloitte hosted the Best Company Survey Conference and launched its 2018 Survey in the capital on Wednesday morning under the theme “Maximising the power of your people”. The conference zoomed in on the strategic challenges associated with the new realities of work; the unknowns and the critical success capabilities required to thrive and survive in this new world. Deloitte highlighted that rapid changes in robotics, big data and artificial intelligence are disrupting entire industries and are eminent for emerging markets.
Mc Donald noted that managing change in a disruptive world is a challenging task for most Csuite leaders and HR professionals. According to him, traditional change management approaches have evolved into highly connected, personalized and dynamic experiences. The new approach to change must allow for faster decision-making and deliver reliable information and insights into trends and patterns that influence employee engagement and attraction to an organisation.
