The MVA Fund today, 15 November 2019 recorded yet another milestone with the opening of its Katutura Satellite Office, located at the Katutura Medical Centre – Unit 13, Erf 8086, Independence Avenue.
The new satellite office is established in line with the Fund’s objective to increase customer awareness of its benefits and products. Most importantly, the opening of this office aims to ensure that MVA Fund services are easily accessible to customers in the areas of Katutura and Khomasdal, as the majority of the Fund’s clients in Khomas region are from these areas.
Thus, the office is strategically located in close proximity to related services offered by Namibian Police and medical doctors with respect to submission of MVA Fund benefit claims after a road crash; and for medical and rehabilitation treatment needed by customers.
As stated by Surihe Gaomas-Guchu, Chief Corporate Affairs at the MVA Fund, “The Katutura Satellite Office will offer claims and case management services which are core to the Fund’s business, and these entails claim submissions and inquiries as well as services related to treatment.” Additionally, the ease of access to MVA Fund services will reduce the number of prescribed claims as well as ensure that customers are assisted with medical treatment without any delays.
From an operational perspective, the office will be manned by Case Coordinators, Hospital Case Managers, and Rehabilitation Case Managers, and open during normal office hours, i.e. 07h30 – 16h30, Monday – Friday.
The public is urged to visit the MVA Fund offices and learn more about the offered benefits – medical benefit, funeral, and injury grant as well as a loss of income.
Furthermore, the public is reminded that any person injured in a road crash or a dependant of anyone killed in a road crash may lodge a claim immediately after the crash, or otherwise within one year of the crash occurring. Claims can also be lodged at the Fund’s regional service Centres in Katima Mulilo, Keetmanshoop, Ongwediva, Otjiwarongo, Rundu and Walvis Bay. The Fund continues to stretch its footprint in order to lend a helping hand to Namibia’s road users.
