Mobile Telecommunications Limited (MTC) on Friday handed over 19 brand new Toyota 2.4 Hi-Lux single cab vehicles to
19 lucky customers.
The 19 lucky winners came from all 14 regions of Namibia and only had to recharge with any amount in the month of August to win.
Speaking to Nampa at the handing over ceremony, MTC’s Spokesperson, John Ekongo noted that the competition was open to all MTC customers, and that there was no age restriction.
“The car that you have won is your car, and there are no funny terms and condition attached to it,” said Ekongo.
The youngest winner of the competition was 17-year-old Caroline Kakuua from Okahandja, who used up the N.dollars 500 she was given by her mother to take their sick dog to the veterinarian to purchase the recharge voucher.
“MTC has been sending a message to recharge for four days in a row so I win a car, I then decided to use up the money my mom gave me to recharge every day,” explained Kakuua.
Another winner from Walvis Bay, Roberto Gurirab, could not hide his excitement since it was his first car and thanked MTC for making his dream of owning his own car a reality.
