Oshakati Premier Electric (OPE) was on Thursday evening declared Best Overall Exhibitor of the 2018 Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair (OATF).
The company was also declared the Best Exhibitor in the Energy Sector.
OPE is a subsidiary company of the Oshakati Town Council, which is entrusted to distribute electricity to consumers within the Oshakati boundaries.
Shilongo Leather, which specialises in the manufacturing of leather products, also scored a high recognition and received a platinum award of best exhibitor in the ‘products made in Namibia’ category.
Sivon Trading from neighbouring South Africa, which exhibited cleaning materials, was awarded the Best International Exhibitors, while the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation was declared the Best Media.
Other winning exhibitors in their respective categories are such as Infinity Salon Trading, Blessing Creation, Olupumbu Tulongeni Project, Wangongo Investment, Ministry of Agriculture, Sea Flower, Namibia Wildlife Resorts, Namibia Contract Haulage and Ministry of Urban and Rural Development.
The City of Windhoek, Namibia College of Open Learning, Ministry of Health and Social Services, Book Masters, Mobile Communications Limited, Indongo Toyota, Otjiwarongo Motors and Tractors, First National Bank, Old Mutual and NamWater were also awarded.
A total of 450 exhibitors, of which 21 are international companies, are participating in the seven-day 2018 OATF which started last Friday and ends on Saturday.
