The last two soccer matches of the 2018 FNB Classic Clashes season took place last weekend in Northern Namibia, bringing the 2018 season to an end. Ongha Secondary School beat Nehale Secondary School with 2:1 while Okatana Secondary School was victorious in their soccer match against Haudano Secondary School with 3:1 goals.
Gordon Pokolo, Manager: Sponsorships at FNB Namibia thanked all schools, participants and organisers for a great 2018 season. “The FNB Classic Clashes have come to an end and once again we have seen some wonderful sportsmanship, great teams and individuals as well as some superb supporters. It was a great season and we are proud of our achievement both on and off the sports field as well as within our communities. Well done to everyone for contributing towards a great success story.”
Wolfgang Mwatilefu (Ongha SS) Captain and Man of the Match said: “My team performed well, and we played great. I feel the game was fair indeed.” Theodor Shivute (Okatana SS) Captain and Man of the Match expressed his gratitude for having been chosen man of the match.
He added: “I was not expecting us to lose, but the game was fair, and the team spirit was good. FNB and AquaSplash should continue with this sponsorship as it encourages young stars to play and whenever they launch the Clashes the learners get excited and want to play.”
Aquasplash Heroes chosen were Oleto Maano Shikomba of Ongha SS and Shaanty Paulus of Okatana SS.
