In its quest to empower and develop young Namibians into the banking sector, Standard Bank has once again recruited six new graduates under its Graduate Programme for 2018.
The new graduates are namely: Penina Nahole with a M.Sc. Finance and BA Honours in Financial Economics at the University of Liverpool and Coventry University in the United Kingdom, Pichard Aderam who completed Mining and Engineering at the Namibia University of Science and Technology, Kevin Olivier who attained a B.Com Honours Management Accounting degree at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, Tjavanga Kaurimuje – a Bachelor of Science Degree in Oil, Gas and Energy Management at the University of Coventry, Naftal Akweenda with a B.Com Law degree from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and Ndemugwedha Nandago who completed a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Economics at the Namibia University of Science and Technology.
Standard Bank’s Graduate Programme is aimed at attracting high potential graduates who will fulfil future critical and leadership positions in the Bank. The programme is designed to give a solid foundation and understanding of the functions within the bank. Graduates will get to know the Bank’s particular functions better as they experience rotations within those functions.
Over a period of 18 to 36 months multiple role rotations will be completed to give a broad commercial and technical exposure to key areas of banking including customer engagement. Formal learning and progress checks are involved. Graduates will gain intimate understanding and exposure to Corporate and Investment Banking, Personal and Business Banking and Enabling Functions.
This is the 2nd intake of graduates by the Bank and will officially start orientation on the 8th of January 2018.
