FlyNamibia will open a crucial new tourism and business route with its new Windhoek – Victoria Falls service, commencing on 4 April 2024.
Flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport and the iconic Zimbabwean resort town, famous for its spectacular 1,7km wide
waterfall and its perpetual fine mist cloud, known colloquially as “Mosi oa Tunya”, or “the Smoke That Thunders”.
“This new route is a key element in FlyNamibia!s network expansion strategy, which aims to enhance regional connectivity and promote tourism within Namibia and position Windhoek as an alternative
gateway to the region,” explained Andrè Compion, Managing Director of FlyNamibia.
“By connecting Windhoek and Victoria Falls, we will create new travel opportunities for tourists and also for business travellers. In doing so, FlyNamibia will stimulate much needed tourism while also fostering trade, commerce and broader economic activity between Namibia and Zimbabwe,” he added.
FlyNamibia!s direct route between Windhoek and Victoria Falls will create new opportunities across the
tourism sector, including tour operator, hospitality and accommodation businesses as well as safari excursions and adventure travel operators, which will be able to tap into new source markets with new offerings and itineraries. Through its partnership with Airlink and access to the Global Distribution System, FlyNamibia can promote its new flights and packages to markets that were previously beyond reach.
