Pupkewitz Motors Division as part of the Pupkewitz Group of companies is proud to announce the appointment of Veruschka de la Harpe as its new Head of Marketing and the latest member of the Motors division Senior Management effective 9 March.
Veruschka joins the team from Nedbank Namibia Ltd where she was responsible for the Marketing, Digital, and Brand portfolio for the bank in her role as Manager.
She started her career as a lawyer and was educated at the University of Namibia where she obtained her B-Juris (2011) and LLB (2013). She further obtained her Marketing qualification at the University of Cape Town (2017) and is currently enrolled at the University of Brunel (London) for an MSc in Business Intelligence & Digital Marketing.
Prior to joining the Pupkewitz Motors division, she has worked in the legal fraternity since 2010 whilst still busy with her B-Juris as Administrator for the Law Society of Namibia’s Legal aid Clinic (UNAM). She then moved into the consultancy space and was a legal advisor at Europa Shipping in 2015.
In her new role, Veruschka will work closely with all the Dealer Principals, – the executive committee and board to ensure that the client journey for all Pupkewitz Motors clients is as seamless as possible as this speaks to the company’s core values of client centricity. De la Harpe will also take lead in ensuring the business objectives are met and the margin of market share continues to grow through new means of going about the day-to-day business such as the digitization of most of the client touchpoints.

The automotive retail sector is undergoing some major changes. Commenting on the overview of her responsibilities, De La Harpe says: “I am most excited about the fact that I will be working in the industry that has long been described as a “man’s world” with the pandemic that has shown us the importance of being agile in adjusting the ways we do business, as usual, very few things seem like a daunting task nowadays they are more like challenges that I am excited to take on and make a success of together with a highly motivated and capable team.”
De la Harpe has been described as a young dynamic leader who understands the importance and involvement of stakeholders across all segments. She is eager about the development of communities and industries that contribute to the growth of the economy.
