Giving is caring. This is the spirit with which Standard Bank employees from IT and Audit departments collectively raised funds to the tune of N$5000 and recently donated their contribution the Cha’risse Children Cancer Trust.
The funds will be used to purchase the much needed clothing, bedding, educational toys, toiletries and basic medication for the 35 children at Windhoek Central Hospital’s paediatric cancer Ward 8.
“Thank you for helping us Standard Bank to serve the children battling with cancer in Namibia. We really appreciate it a lot,” said Charmain van Wyk who’s the Administrator of the Cha’risse Children Cancer Trust. She added that the trust was named after her 7-year old daughter Cha’risse who was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2014.
The latest donation forms part of the employees’ community social project.
