The Khomas Loyalty Fund (KLF), the brainchild of Dr. Christo Burger of Khomas Medical recently expanded its footprint to northern Namibia. Currently operational at all Khomas Medical Health facilities in Windhoek and Mondesa, Swakopmund, the Khomas Loyalty Fund provides, to all its members, access to private healthcare.
Speaking through a media statement this weekend, Dr. Burger, said he was proud to expand the footprint of the KLF. In doing so, the KLF will definitely offer more Namibians access to quality and affordable healthcare, which is often too expensive for the larger number of Namibians. The KLF team has plans to roll out its offerings to Namibian’s throughout the country and this expansion to the north is one step closer to making that dream a reality. With the expansion, the team has now added the towns of Tsumeb and Ruancana / Oshifo were KLF cardholders can visit Dr. DHS Badenhorst in Tsumeb and Dr. R Kanime in Ruacana / Oshifo.
With a three months waiting period, the Khomas Loyalty Fund offers three different options for members, which include an option for private patients, a family top-up option as well as an individual top-up option. These give members access to private General Practitioner consultations, Acute Medication, Selective Blood Tests, and funeral benefits are underwritten by Sanlam.
Burger said the application process for a KLF card has been made as easy as possible and that the process of signing up is quick and easy and can be done at any of the Khomas Medical branches. Application forms are also available in Tsumeb (067 222 400) and in Ruacana, (0811622260). Alternatively, interested applicants can send an email to reception2.khomas@iway.na for an application form and additional information.
Burger added that he was confident and extremely excited that this new product, the KLF, will change the medical industry. Offering the people of Namibia, a chance to have access to private health facilities. He also indicated that plans are at an advanced stage to expand into other towns in Namibia. The KLF is also looking at establishing a state-of-the-art medical facility with other role players in the north.
