Nedbank Namibia has handed over a sport kit to value of approximately N$55 000-00 to the 211 Mot Infantry Battalion of the Namibia Defence Force (NDF) based in Windhoek.
“We are pleased to support the 211 Mot Infantry Battalion with the sport kit, which they will use during their planned mini-league in the next few weeks,” says Nelson Simasiku, Head of SME Business at Nedbank Namibia. The NDF explains that the mini-league serves as a platform to maintain their health and fitness levels in a fun way while building team spirit.
As a diversified financial services provider, Nedbank is committed to making a continued and broader contribution to a sustainable Namibia. In recognition of this strategic aim and the important role the bank plays in the economy, its initiatives aim to deliver value to staff, clients, shareholders, regulators and the society at large.
“Our social investments and sponsorships and the procuring of goods and services continue to enhance the significance of our role as a financial institution contributing to the economic wellbeing of Namibia. The contributions promote healthy activity, entrepreneurship, education and community involvement,” explains Simasiku.
