Sanlam’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Hilaria Graig said she was pleased with the turnout and happy with the event overall.
“We had set an expectation of 500 people to participate in the marathon but we were pleasantly surprised by the high turnout. Sanlam will continue to invest in the Sanlam Coastal Marathon to ensure it gets better each year,” Graig said.
Both Kauanivi and Ekandjo won prize money of N. dollars 15 000 plus all-expenses paid automatic participation in the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon taking place in September.
