FNB Namibia officially launched the one-of-a-kind Automatic deposit taking machines (ADT’s) in Rundu. The device allows for real-time deposits to FNB accounts of up to N$20 000.00 per transaction. Deposits can be made at these terminals at any time of the day or night, and customers can immediately access this deposited money to make transfers, pay bills, buy airtime or electricity.
Toivo Kalla, Area Sales and Service Manager, Far North Area Office: “Our mission at FNB is to be a great Namibian Business creating a better world and we will do that through executing our strategy of putting people, partnerships, profit and planet first. We are proud of our identity, our place and role in this market, and are serious about extending banking and financial services to all the corners of this beautiful country. Our latest passion is to provide affordable and accessible banking channels to both the business and consumer segments throughout Namibia, and that is why we wanted to introduce our latest innovation – the ADT Machines to the Rundu community.”
While the bank understands that the traditional way of banking via branches is still preferred by many Namibians, FNB actively encourages its clients to make use of their electronic products and services. Toivo concluded by saying: “How we do it can only be proven when you enter our doors here, open an account, operate an account and see how best we can serve you. We urge you to make use of our banking platforms, most particularly our electronic channels to experience affordable convenience.”
In her address Her Worship Verna Sinimbo, Mayor of Rundu, thanked FNB Namibia for their investment and said: “First National Bank has become a household name by always remaining at the forefront of innovation and by providing customers with unforgettable customer service. I have repeatedly seen their support, not only to the Rundu Town Council but also to the community through their generous donations. They are a bank for the people ….”
