Innovation coupled to FNB’s mantra of how can we help you? has led to yet another first at FNB Namibia with the introduction of free WiFi in some of the big branches. An excited Desery Van Wyk, Head Digital Products said that the main driver for this project, which is currently in its pilot phase, is the bank’s bricks to clicks strategy, as the App is a cost effective, easy-to-use anywhere way to bank. “we want to help our customers help themselves by banking from the palm of their hand, even when they do not have data to do so. Our staff will be on hand to take customers through the process of downloading and using the APP free of charge.”
The current pilot branches, where free WiFi is available are Katutura branch, John Meinert branch, Grove Mall branch, as well as Kuisebmond branch. “We chose these branches because of the size as well as the new layout and will add some more of the bigger branches in future. We wish to encourage clients to make us of WiFi in the four pilot branches to download the App for free and experience convenient banking wherever they are” concludes Desery.
