With an average of 3 children diagnosed with cancer in Namibia weekly, NHP medical aid has joined forces with the Cancer Association of Namibia to create awareness on the topic and support the CHICA Interim Home where childhood cancer patients are their parents are accommodated complimentary while undergoing treatment in Windhoek.
Not only did NHP support the National Spray-a-Thon hosted in March, but they have also committed to the National Cancer Walk that will be hosted during September. Families afflicted by a childhood cancer diagnosis are welcomed to contact CAN at help@can.org.na or 061 – 237740 for accommodation or financial assistance if needed through the Patient Financial Assistance Programme. Renay Coetzee (left) and Lizelle van Schalkwyk from CAN received the donation of N$150 000 from Abigail Raubenheimer of NHP.
