The new insulation panel is manufactured in the Bondeno plant.
- URSA MAIOR S27P is the first and only extruded polystyrene thermal insulation panel that combines a thermal conductivity rate of 0.027 W/mK with high compressive strength of 300 kPa.
URSA has recently launched the new extruded polystyrene (XPS) panel for the Italian market: URSA MAIOR. The company’s latest insulating material combines outstanding performance, security and quality. Manufactured in URSA’s plant in Bondeno (Italy), URSA MAIOR S27P is the first and only extruded polystyrene thermal insulation panel that combines a thermal conductivity rate of 0.027 W/mK with high compressive strength of 300 kPa.
The new XPS panel is completely stable in the presence of water – keeping its properties even when exposed to steam – and air, has high short-term and long-term mechanical strength and does not change its size or bend over time; it also enjoys excellent behaviour in freeze and thaw cycles and is extremely resistant to high temperatures.
In addition, URSA MAIOR is rot-proof and unaffected by attacks or damage caused by insects and microorganisms.
Furthermore, URSA MAIOR is both safe for people and the environment. The new material – launched for the Italian market – is recyclable, does not contain any hazardous substances, is free of HBCD, CFC, HCFC and other greenhouse gases and complies with the strictest European standards.
Furthermore, it increases sustainability in the buildings where it is installed thanks to its thermal insulating properties, which reduce the need for heating and cooling, using less energy to keep spaces comfortable.
Owing to its physical properties, URSA MAIOR is the ideal panel for all horizontal applications that require great thermal and mechanical performance, together with outstanding resistance to the effects of water, such as inverted or vegetated roofs. URSA MAIOR is easy to work with and can be cut effortlessly with normal blades, minimising waste in its installation. Light and comfortable to transport and move around, URSA MAIOR can be stored outdoors safely, as it does not lose its properties in the sun and rain, deteriorate or emit polluting substances.
