The Swapo Party //Kharas West Constituency office in Noordoewer on Saturday received four laptop computers from the party’s central committee member and member of the National Assembly, Sakeus Shanghala.
The donation comes after Shanghala had pledged to give the computers at a gala dinner that took place at Noordoewer in November last year.
“It is an honour to give these laptops and I believe they will be used for good cause,” said Shanghala.
Martha Akser, District Coordinator of party’s //Kharas West Constituency office received the donation at an executive committee meeting at the party’s regional office in Keetmanshoop.
Speaking to Nampa on behalf of the constituency office, Titus Mutikisha, its information and mobilisation officer, said it was a privilege to receive these computers and that they would be used for administrative work at the office such as typing of reports and letters of notification as the office could not previously achieve this on its own resources.
“We now urge those that pledged to also bring through their pledges and this should serve as a good examples to the individuals and companies that pledge to fulfil their commitments” said Mutikisha.
