A naturally inquisitive person who relishes challenges as they contribute to her career development, Standard Bank’s new Private Banker Felicity Gaingos has been thriving in her new team.
Gaingos, who has 14 years’ experience in the banking industry, joined the Blue Bank on 15 August this year. “I adore new challenges and I look forward to a challenging career at Standard Bank, while contributing positively towards the general growth of the bank,” she said of her appointment.
She holds Management Development Program (MDP) from the University of Stellenbosch, and various certificates ranging from Anti-Money Laundering, Quality Credit Application and Effective Sales etc. However, she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Business Management degree at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST).
“I started my banking career in 2003 as a Collations Clerk at First National Bank (FNB) and I moved up to Cheque Enquiries Clerk, then subsequently to a Saving Clerk, Teller and finally a Service Consultant. After that I moved to Nedbank, were I worked as a Sales Support, Personal Banker, Sales Executive and Branch Manager respectively,” she recounted her work history.
Keeping in line with her love for challenges, in her latest position Gaingos will amongst others act as a confidential interface with wealth and financial advisers, both offshore and domestic as well as to connect private banking clients to the vast resources Standard Bank has to offer.
“I must admit that I am fortunate to have the opportunity to join a progressive and focused bank like Standard Bank and for that I am not only happy but very grateful for my latest appointment,” Gaingos said.
Additionally, as a Standard Bank Private banker she will aid in offering discreet and proactive solutions to the multitude of financial needs and requirements present in the busy schedules of the Bank’s clientele, this includes wealth management and personal banking products and services.
“I have a good work ethic in that I work hard and have unconditional dedication towards my employer and clients, to foster growth and to reach our banks goals. I know the future holds endless possibilities, thus I do not want to limit myself. The sky is the limit,” she concluded.
