ONGWEDIVA, 21 OCT (NAMPA) – The Indongo Toyota dealership at Ongwediva was officially opened on Thursday.
The Frans Aupa Indongo Group invested N.dollars 45 million in establishing the dealership.
Officially opening the new branch, Oshana Governor Clemens Kashuupulwa described the Indongo Toyota Ongwediva Dealership as a landmark investment in his region while Namibia faces an economic downturn.
“The benefits of opening a completely new dealership include long-term sustainable employment and taxable profitability,” Kashuupulwa said.
Its establishment has created employment opportunities for 30 locals.
Frans Indongo, the founder of the Frans Indongo Group who is also from the Oshana Region, said during the opening he decided to invest in the dealership during Namibia’s economic difficulty as he believes that “those establishing business entities in tough times score the most when things turn for the better”.
The Ongwediva branch is the fifth Indongo Toyota dealership to be established in the country, following the fourth one opened officially at Otjiwarongo in the Otjozondjupa Region on Wednesday.
