OTJIWARONGO – Indongo Toyota Otjiwarongo was officially opened by Otjozondjupa Governor, Otto Ipinge in the presence of the 81-year-old Indongo, his wife Beata, Senior Vice-President of Toyota South Africa, Calvyn Hamman and nearly 100 customers.
It is situated on the corner of Hage Geingob and Rivier streets at Otjiwarongo in the Otjozondjupa Region.
Ipinge praised Indongo for creating employment in the town through this new business as well as for bringing the “most loved” Toyota services closer to the farmers here.
“This is indeed a business expansion of the Frans Indongo Group, which is expected to stimulate the local economic growth at the town and the region at large,” said Ipinge.
Indongo Toyota Otjiwarongo Principal Dealer, Uwe Kessler, on his part, said the dealership provides all Toyota maintenance services as well as the sale of Toyota car parts and new and second-hand vehicles.
“We officially started operating as Indongo Toyota at Otjiwarongo on 01 September 2016,” said Kessler.
The Frans Indongo Group bought the company formerly known as Marina Toyota last year.
The building was recently renovated and the dealership employs nearly 30 workers.
Hamman promised to supply more new cars to the Frans Indongo Group car dealerships.
“Indongo Toyota has the same business principles as Toyota South Africa, therefore, we promise to continue working together in this business,” he said.
Indongo Toyota also has dealerships in Walvis Bay, Windhoek, Okahandja and Ongwediva.
