Bank Windhoek is proud to announce the top 20 Bank Windhoek BizzKids competition finalists. A total number of 63 creative and innovative business plans were received this year.
The young aspiring entrepreneurs will put their ideas and skills to the test at the Bank Windhoek BizzKids Market, scheduled to take place on Friday, 27 and Saturday, 28 October 2017, at the Maerua Mall Shopping Centre, in front of Checkers, in Windhoek.
The finalists have been equally divided into two categories. One consist of ten scholars between the ages of 8 to 13 years old and the other group comprises of scholars between 14 to 18 years old. This is the first time the competition has been divided into two categories.
Entries were received from all corners of the country.
The judging panel, which consisted of Bank Windhoek’s emerging small and medium enterprises (ESME) finance branch manager, Mbo Luvindao, marketing and corporate communication services executive officer, Jacquiline Pack, communication practitioner, Suzette January and head of brand marketing, Carmen-Rae Bridgens, had a difficult time in selecting the finalists.
The business plans were judged according to the following criteria:
- The uniqueness of the product or service to be sold
- The business plan elements such as the description of the product or service, financial projections, expenses and quantity of the products
- Business plan and calculation of profits
- The motivation to be a BizzKids winner
- The overall presentation and impression of the business plan

The entrepreneurial competition, designed to help learners realise their business ideas, was established eight years ago and is a platform created for scholars across Namibia, between the ages of 8 and 18.
The Bank Windhoek BizzKids Competition’s main objective is to educate Namibian youth about entrepreneurship. Below is the list of the selected finalists.
