The Namibia Rugby Union (NRU) is hard at work as it hopes to keep the nation informed on all its activities during the World Cup through a one-year partnership with Future Media.
Earlier this week the NRU announced its partnership with Future Media which will run from now until 31 December 2023 as part of their build-up for the 2023 Rugby World Cup slated for France from 08 September to 28 October 2023.
In a statement availed to the media on Friday by Future Media, it stated that the partnership will provide the nation with exclusive coverage of the Windhoek Draught Welwitschias results, build-up, and behind-the-scenes stories.
“As a World Cup year, with Namibia having qualified, the partnership is an exciting opportunity to bring the latest rugby news to our listeners. Future Media is pleased to announce its official media partnership with the Namibia Rugby Union. As part of our commitment as a broadcast partner, Nova 103.5 will be the official radio partner for the Windhoek Draught Welwitschias,” read the statement.
The statement also quoted NRU, Chief Executive Officer, John Heynes saying the collaboration between the two organisations is a bigger picture than just the partnership as this will allow the Union to share its success stories with the public and community.
Deon van Rensburg, Nova 103.5 Station Manager, added that Nova 103.5 is thrilled to be involved with the Namibia Rugby Union, specifically with the Windhoek Draught Welwitschias.
“We are excited to bring our listeners the results, the build-up, and the stories behind the stories. The partnership between Future Media and the Namibia Rugby Union is a testament to our commitment to bringing quality sports coverage to our listeners. We look forward to a successful partnership and an exciting rugby season,” he said.
