“Petrofund appreciates the assistance provided by the Indonesian Embassy in Windhoek in facilitating Petrofund’s visit to Indonesia,” said Nillian Namataa Mulemi, CEO of Petroleum Training and Education Fund (Petrofund), during a meeting with the Ambassador of Indonesia in Windhoek, Wisnu Edi Pratignyo (23/01). The CEO of Petrofund also expressed his gratitude to Pertamina Group and Pertamina Training and Consulting (PTC) for their gracious hospitality.
Petrofu-nd further mentioned that PTC, a Pertamina company that offers training and consultation, recruitment/power supply, event organizer, security services, and evaluation center, accompanied Petrofund on its 10-19 December 2022 tour to Indonesia.
Petrofund has identified the potential for capacity-building cooperation, especially the development of Petrofund Namibia human resources in several Pertamina training institutions, including as the Indonesia Drilling Training Center (IDTC); Maritime Training Center (MTC); Health, Safety, Environment Training Center (HSE TC); Badak LNG Training Center; and Pertamina University (UPER). In February 2022, Namibia discovered oil off the shore, encouraging human resource development cooperation.
“Petrofund has identified areas of cooperation and expressed interest in collaborating with Pertamina University, the Maritime Training Center, and LNG training at PT Badak and seeks to prioritise cooperation with the Indonesia Drilling Training Center (IDTC),” said Nillian Mulemi.
Ambassador Wisnu welcomed collaboration Petrofund and IDTC. He Further expressed that Embassy’s ready to assist the realization cooperation of both sides. IDTC has more ten years of drill experience with trainers has over 30 years of experience. Ambassador Wisnu suggested a virtual meeting in Indonesia with related parties to discuss future collaboration.
