Four cases of individuals found in possession of cannabis were recorded on Friday, the Namibian Police Force weekend crime report issued on Sunday revealed.
A 19-year-old male suspect was arrested in Lüderitz at Nautilus after he was found with 29 parcels of cannabis weighing 55.30 grams and valued at N.dollars 2 765 during a police search.
A 21-year-old man was arrested the same day at Lüderitz in the Jakkalsdraai residential area after he was found in possession of one big parcel of cannabis seeds valued at N.dollars 480, also during a police search.
Both suspects are expected to appear in the Lüderitz Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
In the same vein, on the same day a 26-year-old male suspect and his 31-year-old girlfriend were arrested at Khorixas in the Hollywood location after they were found in possession of 10 parcels of pure cannabis at their residence during police action.
Also in the same town and area on Friday, a 26-year-old male suspect was arrested after he was found in possession of 19 parcels of cannabis during a police search.
The weight and value of the drugs in the two instances are not yet determined.
The suspects were expected to appear before the Khorixas Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Additionally in the same town on Friday, a 34-year-old male and a 26-year-old female were arrested after they were allegedly caught dealing in drugs. Two bags of cannabis were found each containing quarter Mandrax tablets during police action. The value is still unknown.
