The FNB Staff Assistance Trust has awarded 13 successful staff members with bursaries for the 2017 academic year in a variety of educational fields at recognised Tertiary Institutions. The successful applicants are; Andiswa Tom, Jacobus Goliath, Melvin Calph, Morris Goagoseb, Roswitha Gratian, Elizabeth Haidula, Rosalia Muulu, Brandon Nanub, Simeon Ndengu, Mirjam Sangunji, Desmond Shikongo, Emmanuel Shimwetheleni, and Bernice Arie.
Rosalia Muulu, employed at the FNB Oshakati Branch is doing distance learning through the Institute of Bankers (IOB). “I was so grateful and surprised to be one of the successful candidates for a bursary. I thank all the stakeholders. Some of us want to improve our skills and we thank FNB for assisting us.
Roswitha Gratian is registered at NUST for a Bachelor of Business Management (Honours) this year with the help of the bursary from FNB Namibia. “I am excited and thankful and feel privileged to have been given this opportunity. Thank you FNB. You are indeed the best employer.”
Jacobus Goliath received the bursary for his son, Shane Goliath, who is in his second year, studying towards a Diploma in Accounting and Auditing at UNAM. “I am extremely happy and thankful to FNB Namibia for the opportunity. My son is very excited and promises to study hard and make this year count.”
Andrew Kanime, Chief Human Resources Officer: “One of the main objectives of the Trust is to assist previously disadvantaged, non-managerial employees or the dependents of such employees of FNB Namibia Holdings and its subsidiary companies with the educational costs for tertiary education. FNB wishes the successful students well on their educational journey and encourages them to apply themselves diligently towards their studies.”
