The Central Volleyball Association (CVA) League continued with the league activities, with seven games taking place over the past week.
In the men’s league on Thursday, Khomas Nampol Volleyball Club (KNVC) defeated the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) by three sets to nil (3-0) at the Patrick Iyambo Police College in Windhoek.
On Saturday, in the ladies’ matches, Afrocat defeated NamPol Otjozondjupa (NOVC) 3-1, before Revival accounted for NUST 3-0.
The following match saw KVNC defeating UNAM 3-0 and Revival winning their second game of the day 3-0 against NOVC in the last game of the ladies’ fixtures for the day.
In the men’s fixtures, Kudos beat NUST 3-0, while the match between KVNC and the City of Windhoek (CoW) produced fireworks with the latter prevailing 3-1 victors.
This week’s action will kick off on Friday, with KNVC facing Heritage and NUST facing Afrocat C in the men’s league.
The games will kick off at 18h00.
On Saturday, NUST will play Kudos, with KNVC facing Afrocat in the women’s league.
In the men’s league on the same day, CoW will play Afrocat D, Heritage will play Kings, before the latter returns to face Afrocat D in their back-to-back matches.
UNAM will face Afrocat C in what is expected to be the pick of the day’s matches as the two teams proved in the first round.
Another humdinger of a match is expected when KNVC faces Kudos in the final match of the week.
All these games will take place at the Patrick Iyambo Police College, which is the home of CVA, with kick-off time slated for 08h00 for the first match, while the last match is expected to conclude at 20h00.
