The EUNIC Music Festival is the result of the collaboration between some European cultural centres in Namibia members of the Eunic Cluster Namibia. This year, the Goethe-Institute, the Diogo Cao Portuguese Language Centre and the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre supported by the European Union Delegation aim to offer a festival, each of them providing a local artist from their country. Germany will be represented by the group Chefboss, Portugal by the big star Valas and France by DJ Crabbe. Namibian artists KP Illest & Lioness will take the stage to open the concert. This first edition is hip hop, soul and funk theme.

The Festival wants also to present an important educational component: workshops and masterclasses will be held at the College of the Arts.
The Eunic Cluster Namibia aim to establish this musical project yearly that’s why this first edition promises an exciting introduction with artists with original universe from three different countries involved this year through their representative cultural centers.

Those cultural organisms worked together despite their own programme to give a new and exceptional event at the public of Windhoek. The aim obviously is the promotion of European artists but also the dialogue between cultures and artistic universes as well as the dialogue between European and Namibian artists and cultural scenes.
